Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark

The Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark is located over the rolling lowlands and mountainous highlands of Counties Fermanagh and Cavan. The parks has some of the finest landscapes in Ireland created over 650 million years! The park caters for all interests including geology, archaeology, history, folklore and wildlife which you can chose to explore on foot or on a bike.
A must see are the Marble Arch Caves themselves which gives visitors a showcase of natural beauty in this underworld of rivers, waterfalls, winding passages, lofty chambers and beautiful stalactite formations.
Activities on The Shannon-Erne Waterway

The Shannon-Erne Waterway is a canal linking the River Shannon in the Republic of Ireland with the River Erne in Northern Ireland. The waterway passes through some of Irelands most picturesque countryside and is joined by many beautiful streams, rivers and lakes along the way.
You can enjoy the splendours of this waterway on foot, by bike, canoeing, sailing or even on horse back. Along the way you will see wonderful landscapes and wildlife as well historical and archaeological sites and fishing is permitted for the angling enthusiasts out there. A perfect place for a relaxing break!
Belturbet Railway Station

Belturbet Railway Station first opened in 1885 and has recently been fully restored to glory with a new visitors centre which is of special interest to all railway enthusiasts, history and heritage enthusiasts and is a big hit with schoolchildren and family groups alike.
The centres exhibition includes railway memorabilia such as original tickets, timetables and documents and many other special railway artefacts. There is also an audiovisual show featuring original footage of the Cavan & Leitrim Railway and also footage covering the restoration process started in 1995.
Carratraw Canoe Centre

Add a bit of adventure to your holiday in Cavan with a visit to Carratraw Canoe Centre. Here you will have the opportunity to paddle your way round the Lough Oughter Waterways, enjoying the great outdoors and viewing nature from a very unique setting.
The Carrawtraw Canoe Centre caters for people of all ages and experience levels. Beginners can take a certified course with one of the experienced, enthusiastic and fully qualified instructors working here or for those with canoe and kayak experience can rent a kayak and off you go!
For those who fancy some fishing in Cavan the Tarpon 120 Angler Kayak is available. This paddler-friendly, sit-on-top kayak makes it easy to manoeuvre to explore wildlife areas, relax and drop anchor when you find the right spot to fish.
